shiny, oh so shiny

flickr shot of the month #1: october 2005

This month will see the beginning of the Flickr Shot of the Month – a single photo that has caught my eye in the past 30 days.

This month’s shot has been taken by froodmat.

Three things that strike me about this photo:

- This photo tells an interesting story - the pose adopted by the student is wonderfully captured.
- The amount of objects behind add visual interest, drawing the eye this way and that.
- Finally, the lighting in this image gives this an almost oil painting sheen.
