underground maps on your ipod

In a bid to even the balance, and show that technology does have practical uses - how about putting a subway map on your iPod? Ever since acquiring a colour screen iPod and cramming all the photos you have owned onto it, perhaps you may still have acres of storage un-used.

A glance at iPod Subway Maps, offers a number of (mainly American) cities' metro/subway/underground maps properly formatted and sized for the iPod screen.

Cities such as Boston, Washington, New York and San Francisco are already covered in USA, with London (yay!), Hong Kong and Melbourne for those living outside America.

More cities are to follow - and this is seems to be a very good use of the iPod's colour screen in helping us to navigate our ever growing public transport networks!
